Abrahams Blessings 2
Abrahams uncommon love for his nephew, Lot or his faith in God's Almighty ability to do what He said he would do even in impossible situations, that led to him giving his relative first choice of the land before them, and God's ability to cause Abraham to get a better choice than the obvious one at the end of the day, is indeed exceptional and worth dwelling upon.
Identifying the seed that led to the fruit of divine favour Abraham experienced as a result of his selfless act is also worth it so that one can duplicate the experience in ones life.
I am convinced that the blessings of God upon Abraham (Genesis 12: 2 to 3) that through his faith in God all nations of the earth may be blessed through him was the reason that no matter what choice Abraham made in life it would ultimately favour him more than anyone else so that God's promise to him concerning all the peoples of the earth, through him would be fulfilled in his life.
What work has God tasked you to do for the greater good of others?
I am rest assured that of all the pronouncements God made to our forefather Abram in Genesis 12:2 to 3, from him been promised to be made into a great nation, to being blessed, and to his name becoming of great renown, the ones he held to the most washim being a blessing, others being blessed because they blessed him, and most importantly that all the peoples on the earth would be blessed through him.
If we look beyond ourselves to the greater good, for posterity sake, we can be rest assured that Abrahams blessings shall follow us all the days of our lives.
As in Mark 12:30 - 31, there is no commandment greater than these:
1. to love God with all our being and
2. to love our neighbor as ourselves.
Are you experiencing Abrahams blessing in your life?
Faith in God Almighty and love for our fellow man is the key to the seven-fold blessing being at work in a man's life.
Note that the more conversant you become with God and His word, the more you'll fall in love with obeying His mandate through it, and the easier it will be to love your neighbor as yourself and have Abrahams blessings perpetually at work in your life.
Shalom.
