REACHING THE LOST WITH COMPASSION
As Human beings we may be limited in what we can do but we have an Almighty God who can do limitless things and is just waiting for us with all our limitations to draw on His unlimited help for ourselves and indeed our fellow men.
God gave us a mandate as those who have accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour, to fish for men.
He knows we need His help to do this and He has also empowered us with His word to do this.
Isaiah 65:1-2 is scripture God has made available to us to entreat Him on behalf of people who do not show any inclination about knowing Him. All God requires from us to harken to our prayer using this scripture is our genuine compassion for the people we are standing in the gap for with it.
This scripture makes us understand that the person(s) we are praying for do not need to reach out to God for God to reach out to them.
As part of God's priesthood all we need to do is to remind Him what He said He has done in the past and because He is still the same God in this our dispensation, we in turn can ask Him to do it again on behalf of the people we are standing in the gap for because all day long God Almighty holds out His hands to welcome all obstinate prople into His kingdom but He is waiting for us, His prophets, priests and kings to do the needful and pray to him for their deliverance and salvation.

OUR GOD-GIVEN MANDATE:
Isaiah 65:1-2
1. “I revealed myself to those
who did not ask for me;
I was found by those
who did not seek me.
To a nation
that did not call on my name,
I said, ‘Here am I, here am I.’
2. All day long
I have held out my hands
to an obstinate people,
who walk in ways not good,
pursuing their own imaginations -
WHO WE REALLY ARE:
1 Peter 2:9
But you are
- a chosen people, (1)
- a royal priesthood, (2)
- a holy nation, (3)
- God’s special possession, (4)
that you may declare
the praises of him
who called you out of darkness
into his wonderful light.
